Call for projects on innovation in education using free software - SENACYT PDF Print E-mail

With the slogan "evolve",  SENACYT has just launched their second call for projects 2010.  This call for projects  gives researchers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to access funds in the following areas:

  • Research and development
  • Business innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Scholarships to pursue graduate and undergraduate programs in foreing universities
  • Innovation in science education

 

Precisely, this last area: innovation in science education has been opened with the objective of "generating innovation in  the formal and non-formal education in the country that will  improve the attitude of students towards science and raise their level of comprehension of the scientific knowledge, as is stablished in the national education policy".

 

This call for projects is divided into two categories, one of which is the production of "software or digital solutions for primary and secondary levels of instruction".  One of the selection criteria in this category is that the software or digital solutions proposed shoud be available with free licenses.

CIDEYTS-AIP invites the research community in Panama to participate in this call, opened until next October, 29th.    We area available to advise researchers and participants at no cost,  about the use of free licenses and open standards on their developments.
