II Central American Free Software Meeting – ECSL - July 21-23, 2010 PDF Print E-mail

The Costa Rican University in Punta Arenas, will be the host of the II Central American Free Software Meeting.

This event was first organized in 2009 by the Central American Free Software Community and was held in Esteli, Nicaragua.

 

The ECSL is not organized as a group of lectures or workshops, but as a gathering of Free Software developers, contributors and enthusiasts to articulate activities and regional colaboration around Free Software.

More than one hundred participants have confirmed their assitance this year. The program includes activities organized around five subjects:

  1. Public policies and Free Software
  2. Software development projects
  3. Women and Free Software
  4. Education and Free Software
  5. Business opportunities with Free Software

There will also be activities to share ideas about Free Software projects and elaborate country-wide and regional-wide strategies for the promotion and advancement of Free Software.
