CIDETYS has been invited to participate in the formulation of the Strategic Plan of Science and Technology of SENACYT within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) commission.

This plan  will guide the government policies in terms of Science and Technology for the next five years (2010-2014) and has been elaborated as a joint effort between governmental and non-governmental institutions,  universities, associations, companies  and research centers.

CIDETYS proposed an objective in the area of ICT related to the promotion of free/libre software and knowledge and strategies directed to take advantage of these technologies in the research, business and academic sectors.
